Turkish Shelling Wounds Afrini IDP In Aleppo Countryside
On Friday, an IDP from the countryside of the city of Afrin in north of Aleppo governorate, was wounded during shelling by Turkish forces and their affiliated armed Syrian opposition factions of a village in the northern countryside of Aleppo governorate.
The 33-year-old Dawood was hit with a piece of shrapnel in the back and it lodged in his abdomen, a medical source in Avrin Hospital in Shahba region said.
On Thursday, a 12-year-old child was wounded in Turkish shelling of the village of Tenneb, which is affiliated with Sheran district.
The Turkish military escalation in the northern countryside of Aleppo coincides with statements by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, threating to launch a military operation on areas north Syria particularly Tel Rifaat and Manbij.
